What is a THANGLE? They are paper strips, precut to make a finished sized half-square triangle unit(HST). The THANGLES size and the finished size are the same. Step by step instructions are in each package. All you do is cut straight grain strips. Cut 1/2" wider than the desired finished size, not the 7/8” wider method.(THIS SAVES YOU FABRIC, and the frustration of finding the 7/8" on the ruler!) There is no need to trim the units if you sew on the dotted lines and cut on the solid. THANGLES are printed on a special paper that will break away. THANGLES are printed with a special heatproof ink so you can keep the paper on while you heat set the seams. Photocopy, inkjet and laser inks are heat sensitive, they transfer with heat onto your fabrics and could ruin the project. We include more information and a “Free” pattern with each package that you buy.
