Quilt designer and maker -Louise O'Cain has collected fabrics of holiday greens and reds for over 30 years. During that time she made many quilted gifts such as table runners, Santa banners, ornaments and liners for baskets. She tried everything to use up those fabrics, but that basket of fabrics continued to grow. In 2004 the "Smoky Mountain Quilters Guild" quilt show was enough inspiration to empty the basket make the quilt and sit by the fire and hand quilt it! The strips of greens and reds in this quilt bring to memory the many happy hours making gifts for family members and precious friends while living in . . .
